Royal Reads 6.16.21 - The Rosie Project

I love me a good quirky book!  The Rosie Project by Graeme Simpson was one of the first in this type of genre I read.  The book tells the story of Don Tillman, an amazingly smart geneticist who decides it's time to find a wife.  In true scientific mode, he devises a questionnaire to weed out all the women he would not want to marry.  When he meets Rosie, he tries to check her off in a box, but finds that love is a bit more difficult than that.

One of the things I loved so much about this book is that it's obvious that Don is on the autism spectrum, even though he does not realize it himself.  Remember that scene in Parenthood when Max learns that he is on the spectrum and he is surprised?  I thought of that scene a lot when reading this book.

What's even better than getting to meet and fall in love with Don and Rosie through The Rosie Project?  Finding out that Mr. Simpson wrote 2 more follow-up books: The Rosie Effect and The Rosie Result.

These books are heartwarming and have several laugh out loud moments!  I will warn you--if you pick up one, you will want to read all of them. The good news is they are fun and easy to read.

Have you read any of these?  If so, how many stars would you give them?

*Full disclosure--I have affiliate links in this post.  I get a small percentage  when you use my link to order these books.  Drop me a note if you do that so I can profusely thank you!
